STORY OF THE ZIPPER SERIES
Woodworkers all love the hand cut dovetail. It is a measure of our abilities as craftsmen, and we will all give you our two cents about the length, width and spacing of these beautiful joints. I have to credit my architect friend and client, Jose, for having me build a bunch of storage boxes using router cut dovetails. The repetition and evenness of these dovetails make a great design element, and I decided to design a whole series around them. If you line enough of them up, they look like a zipper!
