STORY OF THE DESK TABLE
Northern Virginia has pockets of bungalow houses from the early 20th century. Despite many of them having additions put on over the years, there never seems to be quite enough space for the growing families that live in them. This table was made for one such place where space considerations needed to be taken into account. Even if you have the space this table will tuck nicely into a spot where it can be pulled out and expanded if need be. The drop leaf that hangs behind the desk lifts up and slides on slip-dovetail runners along side the drawers - which act as a top support in the open position. It seats 4 people when open or 2 people side by side when folded in half.
